Letter of the alphabet I Activities
Nosotros started the week with My ABC Book: Alphabetic character I. I always read the volume first, and and then he "reads" it to me equally he names the pictures. He usually needs help remembering some of them. Non but are these books smashing for letter recognition, they too build vocabulary!
He used a Do-a-dot marker to dot the i's on this printable from Learning the Alphabet.
I drew the shape of an igloo and spread some glue. My Three placed the white squares in a surprisingly dandy pattern with just a trivial assistance from me at the finish (when he'd had enough). Not long agone he'd have glued downwardly 5 squares and chosen information technology washed. It's then fun to see the progress he's made!
Okay, one guess: what is this craft, and what does it have to do with letter I?

Making scoops of water ice foam out of play dough was a great fine motor exercise! This is another Learning the Alphabet printable.
I printed our giant alphabetic character I and printed it once again on construction paper. I cut apart the pieces to make a puzzle, and he put them together. He's non fix for handwriting pages nevertheless, so we exercise these kinds of activities to strengthen his fine motor skills and reinforce the shape of the letter.
This is one of my audio cover pages. We named each picture and listened for the audio at the kickoff. If the moving picture started with the short i sound, we covered information technology with a poker chip. He really enjoyed this, only it was over his caput. I helped him know which pictures to embrace.
I made this ice cream file binder game, and he counted the sprinkles. He could do all the cones up to 8 sprinkles. He needed my aid counting 9 and 10 dots.
For this make full the issues jar activity, he rolled a die and kept calculation bugs until it was full.
He named the numbers as he covered them with clear counters on this printable from Learning the Alphabet.
Making these giant ice foam cones was and then much fun. Learn more about them (and even more letter I math activities!) in this post.
For a whole alphabet activity, I printed this letter discover page. He covered the letters with clear plastic counters. Those were a recent buy, and I love them! It'southward awesome that you can meet through them because it'south easy for him to to bank check his piece of work. He liked naming the letters as he hunted for the i'due south.
And this was our letter I sensory fun. I just recycled our gardening bin from letter Yard week and threw in a magnifying glass, a bug catcher, and some plastic insects. He had fun digging around.
